At least two years proven journalism is a requirement. Ideally a degree-level qualification in a related field, however not essential.

A proven ability to write clear and engaging copy that adheres both to briefs and style guidelines.

Experience of interviewing a range of businesspeople, whether that’s entrepreneurs, c-suite executives or small-business owners.

An ability to liaise directly with clients and commercial teams and sustain relationships with brand partners.

Experience meeting strict production deadlines and excellent project management skills.

Experience using Google and social-media analytics to track the performance of content and inform ongoing strategy.

Experience managing online content and using content management systems.

A strong track record of growing a social-media following and using social channels to distribute and promote content.

Experience using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

A keen interest in business, tech and entrepreneurialism.

CEMG is a leading publishing and national events company that showcases the very best of entrepreneurial Britain, situated in Essex. We are looking for a sales account manager to join our talented team.
 
Reporting to the HR manager, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years B2B sales experience (media preferred but not essential), a track record of consistently exceeding targets through new business and a passion to grow within the role. This is an opportunity to demonstrate your ability: achieving KPI’s and targets, managing national clients’ cross-platform and helping to build a successful team.
 
Key Objectives:
 
Achieve monthly targets set by cross selling media products (including digital and events) to increase the revenue streams of each.
  • Generate new business by sourcing own leads, and building relationships with C-suite decision makers and/or marketing departments through using tools like LinkedIn, not being afraid to reach out to senior level executives
  • Ensure that KPI’s are met, including: call times daily, lead generation and number of qualified pitches made per day
  • Business development of existing accounts
  • Work alongside the Brand director in order to grow the department. You must be able to work on your own initiative, as with the exception of attending events and meetings you’ll be working remotely full-time.


Key qualities of the successful candidate:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years B2B sales experience (media preferred but not essential) selling to board level/marketing departments
  • Evidence of consistently achieving/exceeding targets
  • Ability to be self-motivated when required along with working well within a team
  • Highly organised and able to lead and manage multiple responsibilities including various campaigns, clients and team members
  • A genuine passion for sales with the drive to progress
